Bray Wanderers under 17s suffered defeat in their opening league game of the season in a game which produced two red cards and four yellows.

Luke Devlin’s shot on 23 minutes went narrowly wide for the visitors. Both defences were well organised in a very even first half.

Jack Henry was called into action to make a save on 53 minutes. A scuffle erupted on 66 minutes which resulted in a red card to each side. Stephen O’Leary scored the only goal of the game for Cobh on 70 minutes and were denied a second when Henry saved two minutes later. Henry pulled off a great point blank save on 78 minutes to deny the home side again.
