Cory Galvin – Midfielder
Cory hails from Dublin Hill on the north side of Cork City. He began playing at schoolboy level at the age of five, alongside his twin brother Evan, with Leeds AFC in Cork. Aged 13, both then moved onto College Corinthians in Cork.
He represented Cork in the Kennedy cup tournament. At the age of 15, Cory moved to England in 2014 to join Ipswich Town’s youth academy. He played in the youths and under 21s while at Portman Road.
He returned to Ireland in July 2015 and joined Waterford United along with his brother Evan. He had a good spell with the blues netting five times in his nine league appearances that season. In January 2016, he moved again with his brother Evan, this time signing for Cobh Ramblers. Cory spent the first half of the season with Cobh before re-joining Waterford. He left Waterford at the end of the 2016 season and signed for Cabinteely in December of that year.
Cory was capped by the Republic of Ireland under 17 team in 2013. In 2014, Cory featured alongside his brother Evan in the Setanta Sports TV programme “Football Scholars” which focused on their time as apprentices at Ipswich Town and Burnley respectively.
Joined Bray Wanderers in January 2018.
