Team news ahead of visit to Tallaght Stadium

The Wanderers travel to Tallaght Stadium tomorrow night to take on Shamrock Rovers in a fixture which has been brought forward from July due to the Hoops involvement in European Football during the summer.

In the previous fixture earlier this season at the Carlisle Grounds the Wanderers recorded a 4-2 win over the Hoops.

Tomorrows game will be our 4th in 11 days and this is something that Head Coach Harry Kenny has taken into account,

“We were disappointed not to get all three points on Friday against Sligo Rovers especially after going in front generic equivalent to synthroid twice and missing some very good chances towards the end of the game.

Our performance improved on the previous two games and we need to carry this form into the Shamrock Rovers game. This will be our fourth game in eleven days so we had to taper the amount of training we do to keep the players fresh.”

Keith Buckley is doubtful due to a foot injury and Daragh Noone only returned to training on Sunday after a long term thigh injury.

Kick off in Tallaght Stadium is at 8pm.
