Wanderers set for 1,000th League game

Bray Wanderers will play their 1,000th league game in the League of Ireland next Friday when they play Finn Harps in Ballybofey.

Bray Wanderers entered the League of Ireland in 1985 when the First Division was introduced. Bray’s first league game was on 20th October 1985, a 1-0 home defeat against Longford Town at the Carlisle Grounds.

Season 2017 is Bray Wanderers 33rd season in the League of Ireland and 13th successive season in the Premier division.
