Under 19s out of Enda McGuill cup

Dundalk u19 3 Bray Wanderers u19 0

U19 Enda McGuill Cup, Oriel Park, 13 July 2017.

The home side took an early lead after just seven minutes. Steven Kinsella’s long delivery from the right was met at the far post by Jack O Keefe and he made no mistake to open the scoring. Bray fought their way into the game and dominated the next twenty minutes. The closest effort for Bray came from a corner which was headed over the bar by Jack Whelan.

In the second half Jack O’Keefe doubled the lead with a finish from close range. Nathan Woolahan was impressive in the Bray goal on his debut. He foiled O’Keeffe twice more in the following ten minutes. His counterpart in the Dundalk goal, Matt Lyons, saved well from both Howard and Ellis. With a quarter of an hour to go O’Keefe completed his hat trick as he collected the ball deep in Bray territory before advancing and firing low past Woolahan.
