Academy teams week-end round up 1.9.19

It was a mixed week-end for the Academy teams with wins for the under 19s and under 13’s. The under 17s and under 15s both suffered heavy defeats.

Jake Ellis – hat trick for the under 19s

The under 19s defeated Cobh Ramblers 6-1 at home in the Carlisle Grounds on Sunday with Jake Ellis grabbing a hat-trick. Jake opened the scoring on 5 minutes before Cobh equalised on 24 through Christopher O’Reilly. Ellis added a second on 39 minutes. Jack Kelly (47m), Jake Ellis (48), Emmanuel Odeniyi (78) and Evan Dunne (90) added further goals in the second half.

Under 19 team v. Cobh Ramblers: Jordan Walker, Jack Gallagher, Jamie Crilly, Cian Walsh, Glen Hollywood, Cian Maher, Dylan Thornton, Jake Ellis, Jack Kelly, Conor Behan, Timmy Igwilo.

The under 17s were defeated 5-0 away to Cobh Rambers in St. Coleman’s Park on Sunday.

The under 15s were defeated 5-0 away to Dundalk in Oriel Park on Saturday.

The under 13s defeated Mayo SL 2-1 at home in Pearse Park on Saturday. Goal scorers were Hugh Parker and Daniel Icichei.
