Academy teams week end round up 14.04.2019

Under 19s

The Academy under 19s suffered their third successive defeat last Sunday at home to Galway United in the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines. The only goal of the game came in the 74th minute from Dara Costello

Under 19 team v. Galway United: Jordan Walker, Cian Maher, Jamie Crilly, Cian Walsh, Glen Hollywood, Anthony Purdy, Evan Dunne, Timmy Ilori, Emmanuel Odeniyi, Conor Behan, Byron O’Gorman. Subs: Jack Kelly (gk), Jack Gallagher (for Dunne 67), Oscar Smith (for Odeniyi 85), Dragos Mamaliga, Jake Ellis (for Hollywood 68), James Igwilo (for Gorman 68), Eoin Darcy.

The under 19s next game is away to Cobh Ramblers on Sunday, 28th April. Kick-off is 2.00pm in St. Coleman’s Park.

Under 17s

The under 17s defeated Galway United 5-1 away last Saturday. Goalscorers were Alex Rafferty (23m & 75m), Ollie Matthews (65m) and Billy Vance (79m & 85m). Leigh Nolan scored a consolation goal for the home side on 73 minutes. Galway were reduced to ten men on 56 minutes when Ryan Corcorcan was dismissed for a second yellow card.

Under 17 team v. Kerry: Morgan Griffin, Steven Sweeney, Leigh Kavanagh, Alex Rafferty, Regan Lennon, Billy Vance, Eoin Green, Aaron Rice, Panit O’Keeffe, Ryan Bowden, Olliver Matthews. Subs: Callum Perry (for Bowden 80), Andrew Moran (for Greene 70), Kevin Ryan (for O’Keeffe 80).

The under 17s play Waterford FC at home on Saturday, 20th April in the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines. Kick-off is 2.00pm.

Under 15s

The under 15s defeated Cabinteely 4-1 at home in Pearse park last Sunday. Dylan Greene Byrne put the home side ahead on 7 minutes. Conor McManus equalized for Cabinteely on 32 minutes. The home side sealed victory in the second half with goals from Conall Daly (45m), Toby Curran (69m) and Mark O’Donovan (80m)

Under 15 starting team v. Cabinteely: Jack Ross, Harvey Warren, Luke O’Brien, Conall Daly, Eimhin Boylan, Ben Carroll, Toby Curran, Cian Doyle, Mark Tansey, Jad Hakiki, Dylan Greene Byrne. Subs (interchangable): James Crawford, Mark O’Donavan, Michael Keegan, Lewis Temple.

The under 15s next game is away to Cabinteely on Sunday, 28th April. Kick off is 2.00pm in the Kilternan pitches.

Under 13s

The under 13s defeated Cabinteely 4-0 away last Sunday in Kilternan to maintain their 100% start to the season.

Goalscorers were Daniel Isichel (48m), Roy Lawlor (52m), Freddie Turley (54m) and Shane Gough (59m).
