Academy teams week-end round up 29.09.2019

The Academy under 19s drew 1-1 away to Wexford FC on Friday evening in their final league game of the season. Glen Hollywood put the academy side a goal up three minutes before the break. Ethan Vickers equalized for the home side two minutes into the second half.

Under 19 team v. Wexford FC: Jordan Walker, Cian Maher, Conor Dowling, Jack Gallagher, Cian Walsh, Jamie Crilly, Glen Hollywood, Conor Behan, Joshua Ojelabi, Evan Dunne, Emmanuel Odeniyim. Subs: Timmy Ilori (for Dowling 56), James Igwilo (for Hollywood 72), Jake Ellis (for Ojelabi 56).

The under 19s finished the season in 7th position in the Southern Elite division and will now compete in the Shield competition to end the season.

The under 17s defeated Wexford FC 4-0 in Ferrycarrig park on Saturday in their final league game of the season. Goal scorers were Charlie Gallagher, Andrew Moran (2) and Darragh Lynch.

The under 17s are in 4th position in the table but are two points ahead of fifth place Cabinteely who have one game to play. If Cabinteely defeat bottom of the table Carlow/Kilkenny on Wednesday evening they will pip Wanderers to a league play-off position.

Darragh Lynch finished the season as the leagues top scorer having netted 19 league goals this season.

The under 15s defeated Sligo Rovers 2-0 at the Carlisle Grounds on Saturday. Goal scorers were Luke O’Brien and Mark Tansey.

Under 17 team v. Sligo Rovers: Jack Ross, Lewis Temple, Eimhin Boylan, James Crawford, Conall Daly, Ben Carroll, Toby Curran, Cian Doyle, Mark Tansey, Jad Hakiki, Luke O’Brien. Subs (interchangeable) Mark O’Donovan, Harvey Warren, Dylan Greene-Byrne.

The under 13s qualified for the league final by defeating Bohemians 4-1 away on Sunday in the semi-final. Lorcan Moore put the academy side a goal up on 14 minutes. Bohemians equalized on 34. Hugh Parker scored just on half time to put the Academy side back in front. Callum Davis (53m) and Hugh Parker (72) added further goals in the second half.
