Luke Nolan on the attack for the under 19s

The Academy under 19s defeated the Kerry league 6-1 at the Carlisle grounds last Sunday.

Kevin Williams put the visitors ahead on six minutes. The home side responded well and forced an equaliser when the ball went in off Brian O’Regan as he was under pressure from Luke Nolan with Kerry keeper Alex O’Connor unable to prevent the ball from crossing the line before he gathered it.

O’Connor then saved brilliantly from Dowling in the 34th minute. A minute before the interval, Luke Nolan crossed from the right to Dowling who saw his header saved by O’Connor. On the stroke of half time Dowling fired a left foot drive beyond the diving keeper to put the Academy side ahead.
