Big win for under 15s

Drogheda United (u15) 0 Bray Wanderers (U15) 5

With Rhys Knight picking up three assists, Bray registered their second U15 EA Sports National Underage League away win of the 2022 season. The young Seagulls scored in all three third’s to leave Walshestown FC with all three Group C points. Playing after a break of two weeks, Wanderers took a 15th minute lead through Jack Nolan’s fine finish after a brilliant defence splitting pass by Knight.

In the second period of 30 minutes, two quick corners by Knight were both turned into their own net by Drogheda defenders. Max Colbert made it 4-0 in the Green and White’s favour by lobbing the United keeper from out wide.

The visitors’ fifth score was a brilliant team move. Started by substitute netminder on the day Joe Collins, Colbert turned in the rebound after Darragh Emmett’s shot was saved.
