Bray Walking Wanderers’ boots took them to Leixlip in Kildare for a mini tournament on Sunday (October 29).
Hosted by their own local Walking Football team ‘Happy Feet’, the other participating teams included sides from Athlone, Swords, and Solihull Moors from England.
It followed on from their debut last week having taken part in a walking football blitz at the Ballywaltrim Recreational Park in Bray.
“It was a great experience for the lads, up against some very experienced teams. There’s been lots of learning from two tournaments in one week, and now we look forward to getting back to the Carlisle on Tuesday morning. A big thanks to our hosts, Happy Feet Leixlip, for the invitation” said the clubs Football & Social Responsibility (FSR) officer Dermot O’Brien.
Afterwards, O’Brien made a presentation to mark the occasion to Bracey Daniel of Happy Feet/FAI.
Back to the bread and butter of the weekly session at the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday (October 31) at 11.00a.
We are still looking for both men, and women over 55 years, to get involved with the Bray Walking Wanderers team.

All are welcome.
