Bray Wanderers Match Preview

League of Ireland First Division

Cobh Ramblers FC

Friday May 26, Carlisle Grounds

Kick-off 7.45pm

Bray go in search of their third win on the spin when they host Cobh on Friday at the Carlisle Grounds.
Just a single point separates the clubs in third and fourth in what is the seaside derby.
“We’re on a good run are the minute. We’re playing well. And not conceding goals. And we’re scoring goals” stressed Head Coach Ian Ryan after the back-to-back 2-0 victories over Finn Harps and Kerry FC.
“We’re going in the game with a bit of confidence. We’re playing OK; I think we can play a bit better. It is a big game for us. Cobh have done really well so far this season. So, we know it will be hard. But we’ll be out to put in a good performance.”

TEAM NEWS

Ian Ryan reports positive news on the injury front.
“We’ve a lot of people back in training. Friday might come too soon for them. Conor Crowley, Chris Lyons, Joe Power, and Zach Donoghue are all training, Jake Walker’s probably a week behind them. It’s all really good that end.”
He continued “That’s a real positive for us. You get the sense of competition between everyone. We’re not far off to having two (players) to every position. And that’s going to be important particularly with four games before the break, and the double header in a couple of days before we finish off in June. Hopefully, we’ll have everyone back fit before that.”

PREVIOUS MEETING

When the teams met back at the end of March at St. Colman’s Park, Cobh ended Bray’s unbeaten start of the season.
Breandán Frahill scored at either end before Wilson Waweru grabbed the winner in the 2-1 victory for the Munster Side.
