Bray Wanderers v Finn Harps Match Preview

Bray Wanderers Match Preview

League of Ireland First Division

Finn Harps

Friday May 12, Carlisle Grounds

Kick-off 7.45pm

Bray play host to Finn Harps for the first time at the Carlisle Grounds in league action since July 2017 when they welcome the Donegal club to the seaside on Friday.
Despite the 1-1 draw away to Wexford last week, Wanderers took plenty of positives from the contest.
“All that was missing last week was the end product, final pass, and final decision. I thought we performed really well. We probably deserved to win the game. What we need to do now is match the performance level with the end result. And add the finishing touch” stressed Head Coach Ian Ryan.
Without a victory in their last four outings, the Wicklow outfit will be looking to get back to winning ways.
“If we’ve hit our blip at this stage of the season, and we’re still where we are, we’ll be happy enough. What we want to do is get back winning. We can do that. We’ve done that most times when we’ve been at home.”

TEAM NEWS

Defender Cole Omorehiomwan returns after a ban.
But full-back Max Murphy completes the final game a three-match ban.
Player/Coach Lorcan Fitzgerald serves a one-game suspension. Striker Jake Walker and midfielder Conor Crowley (both foot) remain on the side-lines. But both have resumed light training.
“They are doing individual stuff. So, that’s some help” admitted Ryan.
Defenders Len O’Sullivan has also resumed training. But is 50/50 to feature.

PREVIOUS MEETING IN 2023 SEASON

It finished 1-1 when the teams met back in March at Finn Park in Ballybofey.
Ryan Flood gave the home side the lead in the first period. But Harry Groome equalised by half time.
