Cork wrapped up victory in the first half with goals from Karl Sheppard (2) and Garry Buckley.

Cork were in front after just 12 minutes. Karl Sheppard cut in from the left before firing across Moran and into the far corner. Garry Buckley hit the crossbar in the 20th minute with Moran beaten. On the half hour, Buckley added a second when he headed home from a McNamee corner.

On 36 minutes, Delaney headed Moran’s goal-kick into the path of Sheppard and he finished to the net. Sheppard almost completed his hat-trick just before the break but blazed wide.

On 62 minutes. Evan Moran produced a great save to deny Cummins. Gary McCabe pulled one back for the home side on 65 minutes with a stunning free kick that gave ex-Wanderer Peter Cherrir no chance in the Cork goal.
