FAI cup fixture confirmed and Athlone fixture change

Bray Wanderers FAI cup second round tie against Finn Harps will take place on Saturday, 29 August at the Carlisle grounds with a 7.45pm kick off. As a result of the Extra.ie FAI Cup second round fixture, the SSE Airtricity League First Division fixture against Athlone Town have been moved from Monday, August 31 to Monday September 7.

Five Extra.ie FAI Cup second round fixtures have been selected for WATCHLOI coverage. 

The eight second round ties will take place from Friday, August 28 until the two fixtures on Monday, August 31.

The WATCHLOI coverage will begin at Eamonn Deacy Park as Galway United welcome Shelbourne at 7.45pm on Friday, August 28. The second match on the platform will be Derry City’s trip to United Park to take on Drogheda United at 5pm on Saturday, August 29.

On Sunday, August 30, the WATCHLOI cameras will be at St. Colman’s Park as Cobh Ramblers take on Dundalk at 5pm.

The action will conclude on Monday, August 31 with a double-header as Shamrock Rovers welcome Cork City at 5.45pm and Cabinteely head to Bohemians at 7.45pm.

Also in the second round, Wexford travel to Athlone Town on Friday, August 28, Bray Wanderers face Finn Harps on Saturday, August 29 at 7.45pm and UCD AFC welcome Sligo Rovers on Sunday, August 30 at 7.45pm.

As a result of the Extra.ie FAI Cup second round fixtures, four SSE Airtricity League First Division fixtures have been moved from Monday, August 31 to Monday September 7. Those fixtures are: Bray Wanderers v Athlone Town, Drogheda United v Cabinteely, Shamrock Rovers II v Cobh Ramblers and U.C.D. v Galway United.
