Gary Cronin commits to Bray Wanderers until 2021

Bray Wanderers are delighted to confirm that manager Gary Cronin has committed his future to the club for the next two seasons until 2021.

A former Wanderers player, Gary took the reins at the Carlisle Grounds in August 2018 amidst a period of great upheaval as the club was ultimately relegated from the Premier Division. In his first full season in charge he led a new-look Wanderers team to 5th position in the First Division.

In that time Gary has rebuilt the squad at the club with a great focus on developing the pathway for younger players through the club’s Academy teams.

Commenting on the announcement Gary Cronin said: “I’m really looking forward to building on the foundations that we laid down last season. I’m delighted to be part of this club’s transformation and to lead the first team for the next couple of seasons.”

Chairman Niall O’Driscoll added: “We are delighted to secure Gary’s future here at the club. He has shown great qualities as a manager so far during his tenure and we are in safe hands with him at the helm.

“Gary has played a huge role in helping to rebuild this club over the past 18 months and he is working hard to evolve again going into next season as we look to challenge for promotion.

“We can now look forward with great anticipation to the 2020 season with plenty more positive announcements to come in the next few weeks.”
