In pictures: Bray Wanderers 3 -1 Wexford FC

Bray Wanderers extended their unbeaten First Division run to seven games on Friday night by beating Wexford FC 3-1.

The first half appeared destined to end scoreless before the busy Darren Craven won the ball in injury time and sensationally fired home from close to the right touchline.

Wexford were briefly on level terms in the second half after Jack Doherty scored on the hour before substitute Callum Thompson restored The Seagulls’ lead seven minutes later, on his first appearance at the Carlisle since returning to the club on loan from Longford Town.

A slightly nervy finish was eased when Ryan Graydon sealed a 3-1 win from the spot in injury time and you can watch the best of the action, courtesy of Wexford FC below.

The  return of fans has been a great boost for Gary Cronin and the team in recent weeks and Friday’s atmosphere underneath the August sun was a most welcome throwback to the pre-pandemic days.
