Match Preview – Bray Wanderers v Treaty United

Bray Wanderers Match Preview

League of Ireland First Division

Treaty United

Monday May 1, Carlisle Grounds

Kick-off 3.00pm

For the second time in four days, Bray play at the Carlisle Grounds as Treaty United at the visitors on Monday.

Wanderers lost their unbeaten league record on Friday when going down 2-1 to Waterford.

But Head Coach Ian Ryan is looking to bounce back against the Shannonsiders.

“It was disappointing to lose the game. But we took great pride in the performance. The challenge for us is now to match that performance against the teams around us. We need to go on a winning spree. We have the potential, and the quality, to do that.”

He continued “We have to re-focus and look forward to Treaty. We have had really good home form. We have a good band of games that we’ll look to go and win. We’re up around the top end of the league. That’s important. And important we stay there. And important to recognise the progress we’ve made. But we’ll always want more.”

Defender Max Murphy is suspended after his dismissal against Waterford.

Striker Jake Walker (foot) and midfielder Conor Crowley (foot) both remain on the side-lines.

Ben Feeney (foot) is a doubt.

Defenders Eoin Farrell and Len O’Sullivan have resumed training. But the match may come too early for them.

When the teams met on the opening day of the league season back in February, Ben Feeney’s 89th minute winner sealed the points for Bray at the Markets Field in a 1-0 win.
