A second half revival saw Bray claim a comeback win in their first 2022 pre-season outing in the new era.
The Seagulls used a total of 24 players during Saturday afternoon’s contest against the 2021 Premier Division champions. A starting 11 was replaced for the second period by a new line-up.
Rovers, who had earlier played Longford Town at the same venue in Roadstone, also made wholesale changes to their side after the interval.
The Hoops took a 13th minute lead through Aidomo Emakhu which was doubled on 38 by Conan Noonan.
Bray pulled one back on the hour mark when Vilius Labutis burst into the box and fired to the net.
Having been denied moments earlier, Hugh Douglas levelled matters on 73 when he powered in a Conor Knight corner with a bullet header.
Right on full time, Labutis again wriggled free inside the box after a mazy run to drive in the winning score.
