Cobh Ramblers 1 (Lyons (p) 76)
Bray Wanderers 1 (Kavanagh 59)
St. Coleman’s Park, First Division, 24 April 2021

Bray Wanderers are still seeking their first win of the season after this away draw to Cobh Ramblers
Bray made three changes to the starting eleven from the team that were defeated by Athlone Town last week. Joe Doyle and Richie O’Farrell (returning after injury) started while teenager Charlie Gallagher made his debut from the start. Darren Craven and Steven Kinsella dropped to the subs bench while Ryan Graydon missed out through suspension.
Wanderers had an early chance after eight minutes when Brandon Kavanagh’s cross from the left was met by Charlie Gallagher at the back post, but he shot over. Kavanagh cut in from the right on 20 minutes and shot narrowly wide. A minute later, Kavanagh fired over from the edge of the area. Joe Doyle shot straight at Barron before the keeper saved from a long-range effort from O’Farrell.
Cobh’s first chance of the game came just before the hour mark when O’Reilly turned a cross wide at the back post. Bray were on top at the start of the second half and took the lead on 59 minutes. A long ball from Brian Maher was controlled by Brandon Kavanagh and he chipped the ball over Barron into the net.
Cobh were given a lifeline with a quarter of an hour remaining. Richie O’Farrell fouled John Kavanagh just inside the area. Charlie Lyons fired the resultant penalty beyond Maher.
