Bray Wanderers search for a first win of the season continues after their latest setback. Wanderers made three changes to the starting team from the team that lost to Limerick in their previous outing. Ger Pender and Daniel Kelly came in for their first league starts of the season in place of John Sullivan and Cory Galvin. Sean Heaney started in place of Hugh Douglas.

Sligo almost took the lead on eight minutes. Gary Boylan’s cross from the right eventually ended up with Ally Roy. His shot was blocked by Aaron Dillon and from the rebound David Cawley hit the crossbar. Sligo opened the scoring on 21 minutes. David Cawley fed McAleer and his strike from 25 yards sailed over Aaron Dillon.

Seven minutes later, the winger doubled his tally. Sean Heaney’s attempted pass to Kevin Lynch was intercepted by McAleer, who burst through and rounded Dillon before slotting home.

Dave Mackey made two changes at the interval introducing John Sullivan and Cory Galvin in place of Pender and Kelly.  Wanderers were much improved in the second period and pulled a goal back in the 64th minute.
