SJ.B Academy week end round up 06.05.2018

Under 19 action v. Shamrock Rovers

The SJ.B Academy under 19s were defeated 5-0 by Shamrock Rovers last Sunday at the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines.  Rovers took the lead after just two minutes when Dean Dillon scored after a shot from Dean Williams came back off the crossbar to him. Dean Williams added a second on 15 minutes when he converted from a cross on the left from Brandon Kavanagh. Dean Dillon added a third on 35 minutes. On 40 minutes, Aran Hennessy fired in a long range effort for the home side which was saved by Kenna. Rovers added a fourth on 63 minutes through Dean Dillon. Dillon completed his hat trick on 75 minutes.

The home side almost grabbed a consolation on 77 minutes when Neto cut in on the left but his shot was cleared off the line by a rovers defender.

The under 19s are away to Galway United on Saturday 12th May. Kick off at East United Park is 2.00pm.

 

The under 17s defeated Kerry 3-2 in Tralee last Sunday. Kerry took the lead on 34 minutes through Eoin Benson. They doubled their lead on 75 minutes through John Carmody. Evan Dunne pulled a goal back on 80 minutes before Cian Maher scored twice on 87 & 90 minutes to earn a victory for the away side.

 The under 17s are at home to Cobh Ramblers on Saturday, 13th May. Kick off is 2.00pm in the Academy grounds in Carrickmines.

The SJ.B under 15s had no game last week-end. They are away to Sligo Rovers on Saturday 13th May. Kick off is 2.00pm at the Showgrounds.
