SJ.B Academy week-end round up 01.07.2018

The National League underage teams returned to action after the mid season break.

Under 19s

The SJ.B Academy under 19s were defeated 5-2 by Cabinteely last Sunday in the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines. Paul Fox put the visitors ahead on six minutes. Former Wanderers player Luke Clucas added a second on 37 minutes. Fox scored his second of the afternoon a minute into the second half. Piotr Suberlak pulled a goal back for the Academy team on 56 minutes. Cabinteely restored their three goal advantage two minutes later through Andrew Egan. Fox completed his hat trick on 63 minutes. Adam Neto scored for the home side on 83 minutes.

Under 19 team v. Cabinteely: 25 Jordan Walker, 2 Jack Gallagher, 3 James Vance, 8 Dragos Mamaliga, 9 Daniel Luczynski, 11 Piotr Suberlak, 13 Aaron Hennessy, 15 Joshua Ojelabi, 20 Konrad Wiechec, 23 Byron O’Gorman, 26 Alex Rafferty. Subs: 10 Oscar Smith (for Vance 59), 14 Adam Neto (for Suberlak 63), 21 Timmy Ilori (for Ojelabi 49), 22 Steven Sweeney (for Hennessy h/t).

The under 19s are at home to Limerick FC in the league next Sunday, 8th July. Kick off at the Academy Grounds is 2.00pm.They host Bohemians in the second round of the Enda McGuill cup on Wednesday, 11th July. Kick off at the Carlisle Grounds is 7.00pm.

Under 17s

The under 17s return to action away to UCD on Tuesday, 3rd July at the Belfield Bowl. They are away to Limerick FC on Saturday, 7th July. Kick off is 2.00pm in Hogan Park. The under 17s have been drawn away to UCD in the second round of the Mark Farren Cup. The game will take place on Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11thJuly.

Under 15s

The under 15s moved into second place in group 2 when they defeated Cabinteely 1-0 away last Sunday in Lansdowne Rugby Club in Kilternan. Goal scorer was Darragh Lynch.

The under 15s are at home to Athlone Town next week-end. Date and venue to be confirmed.
