The under 19s defeated Athlone Town 1-0 in Pearse Park, Sallynoggin last Sunday in the Shield competition. Goal scorer was Josh Ojelabi on 23 minutes. They will now play Shelbourne away in the next round on Saturday, 13th October. Kick off in Tolka Park is 2.00pm.

The under 17s were defeated 4-2 by Finn Harps in the league quarter final last Sunday at the Carlisle Grounds. Harps had already defeated the Academy under 17s in the cup this season.
Harps took the lead on 10 minutes through Conor Black. Precious Omochere equalized on 17 minutes. Ronan Gallagher then scored twice, on 22 and 32 minutes, to put the visitors in a commanding position. Daragh Ellison added a fourth a minute before the break. The home side were reduced to ten men on 75 minutes when Steven Sweeney received a second yellow card. Omochere pulled a goal back on 80 minutes.

The under 15s were defeated 4-2 at home to St. Patrick’s Athletic in the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines last Sunday. St. Pat’s were two goals up at the break with strikes from Kyle Conway (13) and Matthew Brennan (37). Cian Kavanagh added a third for the visitors on 52 minutes. Billy Vance pulled a goal back for the home side on 54 minutes before scoring again on the hour mark. St. Pat’s sealed victory when Kavanagh scored his second on 70 minutes.
