The SJ.B Academy team under 19s and under 17s both travelled to Mouthhawk Park in Tralee last Sunday to play the Kerry League with mixed fortunes. The under 15s and the new under 13 National League both commence next week-end.
Under 19s
The under 19s defeated the Kerry League 2-0 away last Sunday in their opening league game of the season. Anthony Purdy fired the visitors ahead after just two minutes. Jake Ellis added a second on 53 minutes to secure the win.

The under 19s are away to Cabinteely on Saturday, 16th March, in the Kilternan pitches. Kick-off is 2.00pm.
Under 17s
The under 17s were defeated 3-2 away by the Kerry League last Sunday despite been two goals up within the opening 25 minutes. Darragh Lynch opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 14 minutes before Eoin Green added a second to put the visitors in a commanding position. The home side responded with goals from Nathan Gleenson (41), John Carmody (45) and Robert Vasiv (85). Both sides ended the game with ten men. Nick Izehy was dismissed for the home side on 58 minutes for a second bookable offence. Panit O’Keeffe also saw red on 75 minutes for the visitors for two yellow cards.

The under 17s play Cabinteely at home on Saturday 16th March in the Academy Grounds in Carrickmines. Kick-off is 2.00pm.
Under 15s
The under 15s begin their league campaign in Group 4 away to UCD on Saturday, 16th March. Kick off in Marley Park is 2.00pm.
Under 13s
The SSE Airtricity National U13 League goes into its inaugural season in 2019 with the new competition beginning on the week ending Sunday, March 17. All SSE Airtricity League clubs will compete in the competition as well as Kildare & District Underage League, Kerry League, Mayo League and Monaghan/Cavan FP.
The under 13s are in group 4 alongside Cabinteely, Shamrock Rovers, UCD, Waterford FC and Wexford FC. The under 13s fixtures are a direct reversal of the under 15s fixtures. The under 13s begin their league campaign in Group 4 at home to UCD on Saturday, 16th March. Kick off in Pearse Park, Sallynoggin is 2.00pm.
