Successful completion of Walking Football pilot programme

Today, we finished the five-week men’s pilot programme of walking football at the Carlisle Grounds.

Our coaching support from Age and Opportunity came to an successful end to a very good, and important, initiative.

Club Chairman, Tony Richardson, Head of Football Pat Devlin, and General Manager Gary Lewins joined the lads today as they expressed their gratitude to the coaches Peter, Phil and Albert who gave out participation Certificates, and left some gear courtesy of the League of Ireland department of the FAI.

This has proved a very good exercise (literally) as well as the social aspect. We thank all who participated for their involvement.

All at Bray Wanderers FC wish them all the best for the future.

In conjunction with the FAI & Healthy Ireland, our Football & Social Responsibility (FSR) team of Dermot O’Brien and Robbie Doyle will continue with walking football every Tuesday at 11.00am at the Carlisle Grounds.

We are looking for both men, and women over 55 years, to get involved.

All are welcome.
