The Wanderers make the short trip up the M50 tonight to take on Shamrock Rovers in the first Monday night fixture of the season.
The hoops first 2 fixtures have seen them defeated by Bohemian FC in the Dublin derby before a scoreless draw with Dundalk in Tallaght Stadium on Friday night. While the Wanderers also drew in Dundalk 0-0, we suffered an unfortunate defeat against St Patrick’s Athletic in the Carlisle Grounds on Friday night, a match which Bray Wanderers manager Dave Mackey takes positives from.
Speaking ahead of Monday night’s match the manager said,
“We started slowly against St Patrick’s Athletic on Friday night however we worked our way back into the game and we could have taken a point in the end but there are many positives that we take from the game. Things are going in the right direction.”
In injury news, Dylan Hayes misses out on Monday nights match however Dave Mackey welcomes back Conor Kenna who missed the first 2 games following an injury picked up during pre-season.
Kick off in Tallaght Stadium tonight is at 8pm.
