Team news v Sligo Rovers

It’s a busy week for the Wanderers this week as Harry Kenny’s side play their 2nd game of 3 within a 6 day period when we travel to Sligo tomorrow night in a rearranged fixture due to the IRN-BRU Cup.

Both games between the two sides have been close affairs so far this season, in the Showgrounds earlier in the season, the hosts won 3-2 while at the Carlisle it finished 2-2. A win tomorrow night would put the Seagulls up to 4th place in the league table but Harry Kenny knows his side face a tough task with 3 games in the space of 6 days,

” I was very pleased with the performance against Cork in the FAI Cup, there wasn’t too much between the teams and it took an excellent goal by Sadlier to win the game. We have a very quick turnaround with our game away to Sligo on Tuesday night and another league game on Friday v Drogheda. Three games in six days is a lot to ask of part time players so we will need to think carefully about team selections.”

For tomorrow nights fixture Harry Kenny has a number of injury worries with both Anto Flood and Derek Foran nursing hamstring strains and John Sullivan is struggling with a sore groin.

Kick off in the Showgrounds tomorrow night is at 7:45pm.
