The Wanderers travel to Richmond Park tomorrow night to take on St Patrick’s Athletic, kick off 7:45pm.
Team News:
Hugh Douglas, John Sullivan, Mark O Connor, Darragh Noone & Calvin Rogers will miss out on the trip to Inichicore tomorrow evening through injury. Paul O Conor faces a late fitness test as he picked up a back injury in the defeat to Cork while Darragh Noone picked up an achilles injury in the same game. Calvin Rogers went over on his ankle in training on Tuesday evening and it looks like he has done some ligament damage ruling him out for a few weeks.
We welcome back to the squad Dragos Mamaliga and Byron O Gorman who where both unavailable last weekend and also added to the matchday panel from our U17 SJB squad is Jamie Crilly and Eoin Darcy. Jamie and Eoin will be the 8th & 9th players from the SJB academy to be part of the 1st team matchday squad this season.
Caretaker manager Graham Kelly said: It’s great experience for the young players from the academy to be training with the 1st team on a regular basis and also to be part of the matchday squad. These kids are 16 and 17 years of age so to be included in the matchday panel is great experience for them and will help them as they contiunue to progress to becoming 1st team players. In tomorrow’s matchday squad of 20 players 8 of these are all under the age of 18 and are from the SJB academy, I think this shows that there is a clear pathway from the academy to the 1st team in Bray Wanderers.
