U15 and U17 Development trip to England

Two of our LOI Academy teams will fly the flag this week as they embark on a four-day Development trip to England.

With no underage fixtures over the Easter Period, our U15 and U17 sides will play two games over a three-day period.

A contingent of parents, guardians and family members will also make the journey.

Departing on Thursday (April 6), the party of the U15 and U17 players and team management will cross the water for games against English Academy clubs.

Under Head coach Paul Hosey, the U15’s will take on Championship side Sheffield United’s Youth Academy at the Shirecliffe Ground in Firshill Crescent.

At the same venue, the U17’s (under Head coach Conor Canavan) will face off against their counterparts from National League side Chesterfield FC.

Then on Good Friday (April 7), the travelling party will attend the Championship game between Sheffield United and Wigan Athletic at Bramall Lane.

On Easter Saturday (April 8), both teams will travel to Barnfield Training Centre for games against Championship outfit Burnley FC.

The day will be completed by some down time with a visit to the Trafford Shopping Centre in Manchester.

The travelling party will return to Ireland on Easter Sunday (April 9).
