Wexford FC (U17) 0 Bray Wanderers (U17) 7

A Max Mason hat-trick paved the way for Bray to record their first away win in Group C of this season’s EA Sports National Underage League.
Leading 4-0 at half time on Saturday afternoon, Wanderers went on to register a decisive 7-0 success over Wexford. The weather turned just as kick-off arrived at Ferrycarrig Park. But that did not deter the visitors as two quick goals put them on the course for victory. On 26 minutes, Zach Nolan scored from a corner taken by Harry Sherlock. That cushion was doubled just 90 seconds later as Mason’s great run set up Daniel Chukwu. By the 38th minute, Chukwu returned the favour for Mason to get on the scoresheet. Right on half time, Max Hennessy went on a solo run before blasting to the net close in.
Midway through the second period, Matthew Anderson glided past the home opposition and buried the ball top corner to make it 5-0. A sixth score arrived in the 71st minute. Mason was fouled in the box after a great pass from substitute Lewis Jacobs. The striker then picked himself up to convert the penalty. With nine minutes remaining, Chukwu played a fantastic pass into Mason who completed his treble in style by blasting into the roof of the net.
The team return to Ballycorus on Saturday April 9 to host Shelbourne at 2.00pm.
