U19s record impressive win on the road against Longford Town

Longford Town 0 Bray Wanderers 3

An early first-half brace by Jack Murray saw Bray record a second U19 EA Sports National Underage League Tier 2 Phase 2 away win in five days.
Having defeated Derry City 4-2 on Sunday July 17 last at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, Wanderers followed that with a decisive 3-0 success over Longford Town on Thursday July 22.
In a commanding performance from start to finish at Bishopsgate, the away side took a third minute lead.
A good passage of approach play found Murray – making only his third appearance of the season after injury – on the right flank. He beat his marker and his cross sailed to the far left post and into the net.
The Midlanders did force a good save out of Seagulls stopper Ben Clark after that.
But the Green and White’s doubled their advantage in the 18th minute in a fantastic team move.
Starting in defence out to the right flank leading to a series of one-touch passing, Murray broke down the right channel after a sublime Josh McGlynn ball over the top.
One on one with the ‘Town custodian, the winger volleyed the ball on the run to the net.
Striker Evan Harte had a goal ruled out for offside before the interval as the Wicklow team went in search of a third score.
In a battling second half, the Longford netminder superbly denied Harte with a stunning save.
But Bray did make it 3-0 in the 65th minute.
The lively McGlone received the ball 22-yards out. Turning his man to create space, he unleased a shot into the top corner of the net.
