Carlow Kilkenny FC (U17) 0 Bray Wanderers (U17) 1
An injury time winner by super-sub Lewis Jacobs saw Bray secure their second EA Sports National Underage League away win of the 2022 season. Just as it seemed the Group C clash at Dermidus Park on Saturday afternoon was going to finish scoreless, the Seagulls came up with the goods to seal all three points. Daniel Chukwu sent in a cross, and Jacobs met it with a volley from just inside the box that arrowed into the top corner of the net.
The victory is even more commendable as the visitors travelled to Kilkenny hampered by injury and player unavailability. The result means Wanderers have 12 points from their six league matches to date. With Shelbourne defeating Shamrock Rovers 2-1 today at Roadstone, it all means Shels top the section on 15 points with the Hoops on 13 points.
Bray return to Ballycorus on Saturday April 30 to host Wexford FC at 2.00pm.
