Bray Wanderers 0 Cork City 2
Premier Division, Carlisle Grounds, 16 July 2017.
Wanderers had an early chance when Mark Salmon headed a Jason Marks cross wide after just four minutes. Cork took the lead on 13 minutes when Seanie Maguire headed home his 20th goal of the season from a Steven Beattie cross from the right.
Bray started the second half well. Aaron Greene broke clear on the right, on 51 minutes, but could only shoot into the side netting. The home side had the ball in the net on 56 minutes when Gary McCabe’s free from the left deceived Mark McNulty but referee Robert Harvey ruled the goal out for a foul on the keeper. On the hour mark, Maguire picked up a pass from Beattie and shot off the inside of the post with Campion’s follow up effort been deflected wide.
The visitors sealed their win on 84 minutes when Kenna’s clearance was picked up by Maguire who fed Keohane and he fired past Cherrie.
