Bray Wanderers returned to winning ways this afternoon with a 3-1 win over Waterford FC at the RSC.
Sander Puri fired over the Bray crossbar after 11 minutes. Bray responded when Lynch broke down the left on fourteen minutes and crossed to Pender whose overhead kick went over the bar. A minute later, the same duo combined to put the visitors in front. Lynch’s cross from the left was headed home by Pender.
McEvoy tested Cherrie on 19 minutes but the keeper saved easily. The home side equalised on 31 minutes when O’Sullivan fired home. Cherrie was forced into saving a header from O’Halloran on 39 minutes.
On 54 minutes Gary McCabe set up Aaron Greene who fired into the side netting. Greene then saw his shot strike the post on 68 minutes. Dylan Connolly restored the lead for the visitors on 78 minutes when he scored from a long-range effort.
On 85 minutes John Sullivan found himself free in the Blues area and fired home wanderers third goal of the afternoon. Jamie Ahern had the ball in the Waterford net but his effort was ruled out by the referee.
