Wanderers recorded their second win of the pre-season over premier division opposition with this away win over Waterford FC. Wanderers took the lead on 22 minutes when Derek Daly’s initial shot was saved by the Waterford keeper, but Joe Doyle followed up to convert the loose ball to the net.

The home side equalised on 40 minutes. Hery’s cross into the box was converted by Trialist C who scored low into the corner of the net.

Joe Doyle raced clear for Wanderers in the 56th minute but he shot inches wide of the post. Adam Hayden saved a well struck shot from Zack Elbouzedi on 83 minutes to keep the scores level. In the final minute, Dragos Mamaliga found fellow substitute Jake Ellis free in the area and the young striker found the net low under the Waterford keeper.
