Gavin Teehan appointed Academy manager

Gavin Teehan

Bray Wanderers are delighted to announce the appointment of Gavin Teehan as Academy Manager at the football club

Teehan, who made over 150 appearances for the club from 1991-1997, winning the supporters player of the year twice during his tenure, joins the club immediately and will work closely with the key stakeholders across the national league underage teams and partnership clubs.

Bray Wanderers Head of Football, Pat Devlin, is certain the experience that Teehan will bring to the role, will be invaluable to the overall development programme of the academy players, and will give these young players a unique pathway and real opportunities to progress into the senior ranks at the club.

Teehan, a UEFA A / EYA licence holder has extensive league of Ireland coaching experience from his previous time with Bray Wanderers and Bohemian F.C. and is excited by the opportunity.

“From the first phone call I received, to the various meetings that subsequently took place, I was impressed by the project ambition and now look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience into the club to add to the stellar work being conducted by new Chairman Tony Richardson, Pat Devlin & the wider team. There are great foundations to build on within the club and I can’t wait to contribute in some small way to the development of our academy players. Bray is a club close to my heart and steeped in football history. This being the centenary year makes it even more special to be back.”
