U20 Match Report – Bray Wanderers 2 St. Patrick’s Athletic 7

Bray Wanderers 2 St. Patrick’s Athletic 7

For the second time this season in the EA SPORTS U20 LOI Group A, Bray suffered defeat the hands of St. Patrick’s Athletic.

The Dubliner’s had won 5-3 back on the opening day of the season last February.

And in the reverse fixture on Saturday afternoon, they ran out 7-3 winners at a sunny but cold Ballycorus.

Michael Noonan put the Saint’s ahead in the third minute with Jason Oyenuga doubling that lead five minutes later.

Noonan’s spectacular bicycle kick made it 3-0 for the away side in the 23rd minute before Thomas Morgan’s 25th minute dismissal for Wanderers.

But the Green and White’s pulled one back through Alan Seruga in the 33rd  minute.

Rhys Bartley brought the score to 4-1 in the 61st minute for the away outfit with Jamie Gray’s audacious 40-yard lob found the net two minutes later.

Fuhad Kareem registered ‘Athletic’s sixth on 68.

Bray scored again in style in the 81st minute through sub Daniel Chukwu’s 20-yarder curler.

But Kareem rounded off the scoring when heading in an 83rd minute corner.
